Chaparral HS Orchestras at the Magic Kingdom
On April 11, 2026, Chaparral Symphonic and Concert Orchestras attended the Forum Music Festival at Fullerton College in California. They performed for two judges and received a Silver rating. Additionally, freshman cellist Ethan Chang was awarded the Outstanding Musicianship Award for his exceptional performance. While in California, CHSO attended an Imagination Campus academic workshop about teamwork and went to the Disney theme parks to have some fun.

Chaparral Orchestras at the MIM
On the night of March 27 SUSD took over the Musical Instrument Museum! While students from around the district enjoyed the museum, Chaparral Orchestra members headlined a lobby concert. The evening started off with a performance by Chaparral’s Honors Symphonic Orchestra, followed by solo performances by Ethan Chang on cello and Zoe Wong and Alex Oberle on piano .

2026 AMEA Tier 2 Solo and Ensemble Festival
Congratulations to freshman Zoe Wong! Zoe beat out over 200 other performers from across Arizona to win “Best in Class” for her piano solo in the Tier 2 AMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival.
